Prom with Yours Clothing!

It's Prom Season!!! Prom will always be one of my favourite memories seeing as it was one of the first times I was able to find clothes that I actually loved - and fit! I remember stressing out months prior thinking where the fuck am I going to find a dress I won't hate???  Luckily, later that year I found Gabi of GabiFresh and learned of a million (not actually but it felt like it) places to shop and bought not just one, but four prom dresses! Although that sounds crazy, I''m telling you I justified this with a. never being able to buy a fancy dress I actually loved yet alone liked prior to this, and b. uncertain of which dress I truly loved the most for prom (I wore my second favourite for graduation)! I'm so happy things like prom dresses/fancy events are no longer in scarce as it was in the past!

Since Prom is so dear to me I chose this adorable Mint and Ivory Floral Lace Skater Dress from Yours Clothing for my first fun Prom inspired look! I'm in love with this dress, mint is my favourite colour and the poofy underskirt is definitely one of my favourite things about it! Is it weird that I can't stop twirling when I wear it? ^__^ I decided to pair it with my favourite phone purse, crystal necklace, rings and pink wedges! This is my more casual ~*fun fancy*~ look. I'll be sharing my second Prom inspired look next week!

The past few weeks have been incredibly overwhelming for me, I've had two impromptu trips (with the third one next week -.-) over the past 5 weeks. Although I love traveling it was not planned trips and ended up being rather stressful. I definitely missed home much more than I thought. I've been home for the past two weeks and decided to take a break and refresh. I have a ton of posts to share with you all, I also may have picked up quite a few new things I can't wait to share! ^___^

This Junarose knotted skirt is one of my fave new key pieces, I brought it along on both of my trips because of a. how comfy it is and b. I can literally pair it with so many things. I decided to pair it with an acid washed crop, grid bag, my fave heels and my coin necklace.

Floral Vibez with Yours Clothing!

As I mentioned in my last post, I chopped off all my hair!!! I'm going to be really honest with ya'll. It was really really hard for me to do. I love my hair, the last time I cut my hair was about 7 years ago. It was even shorter than it was now and it took 7 YEARS to grow that long. That's why I kept the badly damaged ends, I just couldn't chop it all off. While I was in Hong Kong, my cousin Christine convinced me to perm my hair, I decided why not? Well, turns out you can't perm damaged bleached hair. Thus, the hairdresser (who barely spoke english, and I'll admit I pretended I didn't really know Chinese ^__^) told me I had to cut it off and it was "YORO" time, which ended up with me laughing my ass off and saying, alright let's do it!!! I'm still in the awkward transitioning period where I love my new short hair (especially while I was in Hong Kong and melting to death) but also crying over the death of my beautiful long hair. I keep telling myself, it's okay, it's just hair, it will grow back, but I'm scared it will take 7 years again. ~*~Positive vibez~*~

I'm in love with my new Floral Tunic (aka Dress for me) from Yours Clothing! It's seriously stunning and I've been wearing it constantly since I received it, I even took it with me to Hong Kong and LA (which is where I am now - any tips on where to shop/eat/see/etc?)! I've always been a fan of florals and as soon as I layed my eyes on it, I knew it had to be mine. The colours are so vibrant and I love the contrasting panels! I paired it with a black belt, black purse, sunnies and my fave sandals! I can't wait to share the rest of my looks from Yours Clothing, it's one of my new fave stores and I've got my eye on quite a few pieces! Anything you're currently coveting after??? This will be my final post with long hair for a long while! I ended up chopping it all off while I was away. As I mentioned in my previous post, it was incredibly hot and I had a super hard time taking photos. I also packed as light as I could with versatile day to night pieces. On this day I decided to wear my gorgeous new watercolour dress from ELVi for casual touristy things during the day (i'll admit my feet were definitely sore after walking around in those sandals) and dinner at The Peak in the evening! I'm honestly in love with it! As soon as I saw it I started picturing a ton of fun looks for the ~*Spring/Summer*~ (I'll be sharing a few different ways I style it soon)!

I've had a hectic past 10 days, I had to leave to Hong Kong on an impromptu trip with my Dad and it has been super stressful. I love Hong Kong and it was definitely nice to be back after not visiting for the past 12 years. Being so busy it was 1. impossible to actually use the computer (especially when I visited my Cousin in Macau) and 2. it was extremely difficult taking my own photos, props to everyone who does it cause I was extremely incapable. It was also very difficult to find any locations that we're not packed with a billion people who thought a tripod with a camera was bothersome. Thus, I ended up only taking two outfit photos with both of them being on the terrace of our apartment. I tried to pack really light and versatile pieces, I needed outfits that I could both wear walking around during the day but still cute enough for when we went out to eat. I packed a couple dresses, one of them being this Paisley Lace Skater Dress ($46) from Suzy Shier+!
I think it's super adorable and I wore it when we went up to visit The Peak and have dinner as well as taking the ferry over to Macau, China. I paired it with my crystal necklace, pink blazer and a pair of fake toms I picked up since I only packed sandals and my feet were dying over the amount of walking I had to do. The weather is also extremely hot there, I had to tie up my hair every day and was literally melting, It was pretty chilly at night especially up the mountains so I was always sure to pack a sweater of some sort. I found out I'm leaving for LA Tuesday morning so the resting at home will be short lived. I'm planning on packing another Suzy Shier+ dress and I'm hoping I won't be as busy this trip (most likely not but hey - I can dream) and will actually be able to shoot some proper pics!
