Autumn is a Second Spring

I ended up wearing this adorable Faith dress from Voodoo Vixen to Thanksgiving a couple of weeks ago! I actually received it in the Summer and had wanted to bring it to my cottage retreat but since the dress is actually quite warm for looking so cute n summery I held off until the weather got chillier. I think it's the cutest dress and I really appreciated the sweetness of it (if that make sense?)!

Also, I had an identical lipstick to match the cute flowers on the dress so that was perfect!

Green with Envy

 I'm not actually green with envy but, I definitely would be if I didn't have this gorgeous green faux fur vest (which looks way more green irl) in my life! You may remember it from my visit to the Fashion To Figure last month. I fell in LOVE with it, I had yet to see a more green tinged fur (I've seen the classic black, burgundy, grey, nude coloured ones, but nothing really fun) up until that visit. I paired it with my new cute grid culottes from Penningtons and my white cropped turtleneck from Monki. I've worn it a couple times over the past month seeing as I found it to be one of my perfect transitioning looks. It was warm enough for the chilly breeze, but as soon as it got sunny and hot I'd throw off the vest. I also wore it sans heels a few times, personally, I feel the heels give it a more professional look (although if you wear heart sunnies like me, it might not matter ha) while flats/sneakers give it a really laid back/chill look.

Day 7 of NYFW; Fashion to Figure HQ!

The final day of NYFW was bittersweet, I didn't want the trip to be over, but I also really missed home (but mostly my dogs). Allie and I spent the morning at the Fashion to Figure Headquarters! We had so much fun learning more about Fashion to Figure, did you know Fashion to Figure was founded by Michael and Nicholas Kaplan, who happen to be the great-grandsons of Lena Bryant (aka Lane Bryant's founder)? We then played dress up in a whole bunch of upcoming pieces! I'm honestly in love and a ton of these pieces have already found their way into my closet. ;) Be sure to check out Allie's post here.

I R I D E S C E N C E

Day 6 of NYFW was amazing, I went to the Addition Elle x Ashley Graham show and was super excited seeing as it was a. the first actual Plus Size show I went to during all of New York Fashion Week (granted I saw a few plus models at other shows, which is awesome ~*body diversity*~ ya'll) and b. a Canadian brand!!! I was thoroughly impressed with all the pieces, especially all the cute lingerie. I ended up wearing my fun new dress from Monki that I picked up while I was in Hong Kong, paired with a ton of iridescent accents!

The Perfect Layering Piece

I'm a huge fan of ponchos, they're seriously the perfect layering piece! That's why I was beyond stoked when Junarose sent me their Fringle Poncho! I've been literally living in this for the past month, I even brought it with me to Vancouver (where I am right now) and it's saved my life (I'm stupid and didn't pack any sweaters).

 I wore this a couple weeks ago when it was exceptionally chilly but, since I knew I would be inside majority of the day I needed an outfit that would be practical for both indoors and my trek home outside. I paired it with my cute black sheer top, Luna purse, a necklace and some cute destroyed jeans from Charlotte Russe+ and my trusty heeled boots from New Look.

NYFW Day 5!

For the fifth day of NYFW Allie and I headed to Times Square for the Lane Bryant #PlusIsEqual event, it was awesome getting to see so many body positive babes and although I totally disagreed with a few "jokes" made/ the fact that they only had  S - XL in all their #PlusIsEqual tees they were handing out, it was still pretty good. We ended up not being able to stay the whole time and shot a few photos quickly on Yotel's (did I mention that we ended up staying there a few nights?) patio before heading off to the Hey Gorgeous HQ for a photoshoot (which I'll be sharing soon)! It was seriously so much fun and I honestly love the Hey Gorgeous team, they're seriously the best. ♥♥♥
