Happy Chinese New Year!!!

So, for those of you who may not know, i'm half Chinese and today is Chinese New Year!
I've always loved Chinese New Year, since I was a child we would always celebrate Chinese New Year's Eve having a huge dinner with the family, and getting a gazillion Lai See/Red Pockets(pretty red envelopes that symbolize good luck and ward off evil spirits, also they have money inside).
New Years Day was usually spent again having dinner with family, and occasionally enjoying some time together in Pacific Mall.

I can't quite remember if I ever dressed up as a child but, my cousins always do and they're just so adorable!
That's why this year I decided to sorta dress up for it!
Funny story, I actually totally forgot it was Chinese New Year's Eve and arrived home after work to my dad frantically telling me to get ready otherwise we'd be late for celebrations.
I quickly threw on my kimono(which I initially put up for sale last year after having it hanging in my closet for a good while, I ended up taking it down and trying it on again and couldn't part with it) and rushed out the door, it was so great seeing my extended family again. I feel like I barely get to spend time with them nowadays, definitely going to make it a priority to spend more time with them this year.

Wantlist x Pink

Pink use to be my favourite colour through ages 4 till 13, I went through a craze that practically every variation of pink was totes my fave, especially all the bright pinks(ie.bright pink, barbie pink, neon pink, etc).
Luckily, I eventually decided that I hated pink, and especially hated bright shades of pink, I realized this sometime in 8th grade when I noticed how nauseous I would feel looking at those variations of the colour.
Anyways, after a long pause from anything in/of that colour I eventually realized what my new favourite colours are(Mint, Lilac and Cream!). In the end, I warmed back up to the idea that Pink, especially Light Pink could be included back into my life again.
These are all of my current wants, and of course they are almost all in my favourite shade of pink!
I especially want the new Jayda Black from Miista, and sold out Coquette Lime Crime lipstick!

ShoeDazzle Review

January has always been a hectic month for me for some reason, even more so the past few years.
It's literally all my close friends and family's birthday and I feel like it's even harder for me to attempt at making an effort to go outside since it's always super cold.
Pearls birthday is the last of the endless amounts of January babies celebrations!
Thus with only a few days of the month left i'm feeling even more excited for the upcoming Spring, and all the exciting things coming with it, I especially can't wait to be swimming again!~~

Anyways, I recently made my first order off ShoeDazzle when they had a whole bunch of super cute shoes!! I've fallen in love with every pair all five are perfect; they we're exactly what I wanted, they fit perfectly and they we're super affordable on the site, downside was definitely the custom charges and customer service issue.
I choose to try ShoeDazzle after reading a really convincing review and since the shoes we're just so cute and pretty affordable over JustFab(pretty much the same thing just a Canadian Version, might try them out just to compare) because of the shoe selection at the time and although i'm super happy with my order, it just doesn't make sense to pay practically the same price of the shoes, just for them to arrive. Unfortunately(and also not their fault, I just thought maybe I'd be lucky) I got taxed by customs for all the shoes, and since two pairs came seperate from the huge initial box it ended up being almost $100 in customs for 3 packages, which ultimately made the shoes super expensive and not really worth it in the end. I was also pretty annoyed that they had never given me seperate tracking numbers/information that my order had shipped seperately, and had become really confused when I thought I had recieved my whole order(with shoes missing), and then tried to communicate with them twice to recieve the automated message that they would respond within 48 hours, and not have them respond at all until I sent a message to the facebook page, which was then cleared up super quickly within a few hours, I really appreciated that. :)

Overall I actually really like ShoeDazzle since they have really nice shoes at a super awesome and affordable price, the only downside is really the shipping issue(which you'd only have if you don't live in the states) otherwise i'd definitely be going on a shoe frenzy daily. Hopefully they will have better shipping options in the future so that I can buy more beautiful shoes from them.

Anywhoo these are the Shara's, I love them so much, only downside is they came creased when they arrived and since they have a no return/exchange policy for Canada I guess i'm stuck, but whatever they're still beautiful! I'm still kinda going crazy about iridescence... I now have 9 different pairs of holographic/iridescent shoes... and it will continue...

Wantlist x Adventure Time x Black Milk Clothing

So for those of you who don't know or may not have realized, i'm totally in love with Adventure Time!
Like really, i'm completely obsessed.. I've seen every episode over 10 times, I've also kinda sorta made it my mission to collect every plushie, book, toy(including monopoly!!), homeware, and all apparel that I find that's Adventure Time related, I'll buy anything Adventure Time related really.

That's why finding out they had a collaboration with Black Milk Clothing made me kinda have a mini freakout.
 I've wanted leggings from Black Milk for practically forever and always kinda loafted on it, but seeing now that they carry up to an XL and have all these Adventure Time items I kinda neeeeed,
I think i'm gonna make my first order.

05. Twinsies x Velvet and Leather

Jess and I went to Chris' house last weekend and since we felt like being a little fancy we decided on wearing our matching winter green velvet tops!
I'm so in love with this shirt it's just so comfy and pretty, only downside is that I can pretty much only wear it when it's cold outside.
Otherwise i'd melt to death.

Anyways we matched our awesome velvet shirts with leather skirts, knee highs and heels/wedges!
I've been wearing my Acne's forever but I love them so so much and i'm still surprised that after lusting over them since high school I finally got them!

Also, most fun news!
Jess and I are going to be making some fun DIY Tutorials!!~*~
We're gonna start with some cross stitching, so look out for an awesome Jake the Dog!!

Wantlist x Iridescence

So if you didn't know, i'm super in love with Kastor & Pollux and their beautiful Vesperia Necklace and pretty much totally loafted on purchasing it which was stupid but great news!!! I finally bought it! I can't wait to wear it with everything!

I also really want all these items so much, most likely going to get them all. I noticed I've been gravitating more towards all black and any and all super shiny/holographic/ or oil slick things.
I'm just so in love with iridescence~*~*~**~ thus all shiny things must be mine!

No more Winter Woes

I am starting to finally appreciate the winter oddly enough, if even just a little bit.
I love wearing layers, and I've bought a beanie in practically every colour this winter.
I also think I may be appreciating it now, since the weather has finally shifted.
These photos are a little late, seeing as I took them two weekends ago when it was still practically freezing in Toronto.
The temperature was above negative the past few days and oh boy did I take advantage of it!
I really missed not having to wear pants/tights/ or leggings.

This outfit is made up of mostly Forever21, I took advantage of there recent 50% off sale, sale and bought this awesome coat. I seriously think they may possibly be one of my favourite stores, I always find such awesome things including this skirt and boots I got back when Forever21+ was Faith 21 and are still a wardrobe staple.

I feel like 2014 is the best year!! I'm just feeling super positive and have all these good vibes~*~~*~*~
But really, this year is going to be amazing, and it's only been 13 days in and i'm 100% convinced that this will be a fantastic year!!

04. Twinsies x Cats

This Twinsies post is long overdue!
We actually had two really awesome outfits to share over the Winter Holidays buut, Jess and I kinda sorta loafted, and then it got too dark, so we just ended up having to skip them. :(

It's okay though because I went to Jess' last weekend!
We spent majority of the time playing Adventure Time and Stella Ella Ola!! So much fun!
We decided on wearing our Galaxy Cat Shirts, because we love cats.. and why not?
Perfect outfit for lounging around and playing games all day.

Jess and I have something special planned ahead and I can't wait to share it with you all!
We're going to start working on it this weekend so hopefully I can share it soon, i'm bursting with excitement! Whee~~

Wantlist x Dreaming of Spring

I've decided i'm going to start posting my wantlists because I spend most hours of my day perusing the internet so, why not share some of the looks/outfits that I totally must resist spending all my money on.

I know I always complain about the weather but it's actually freezing in Toronto, flights we're cancelled and TTC has been hectic(read more here).
The weather has got me dreaming of Spring! No one can understand how much I love the Spring Season, the snow melts away, it's warm enough to wear the things I love, I'm not limited to being outside due the chance of freezing, I just love everything about it! Except for the rare deathly heat but, I'd still rather embrace the heat over frostbite anyday.

With Spring comes the pastels, the shorts, the skirts and just pretty much everything else I love.
That's why even though it's January 8th and -40, I couldn't resist showing you all one of my must have outfits for the Spring!
Mint is my favourite colour and i'm actually surprised I don't own a sweater in that colour(also my reasoning for why I must soon own one). I love Peter Pan Collars I just think they're so cute and pairing them with a cute bag, comfy sweater, shorts, knee highs and these beautiful Miista Cecilia boots make the perfect Spring outfit for me!

Disco Pants!

Hey everyone! I know this is a little late but for those of you who haven't seen my blog previously/or haven't noticed, my blog has been fully redesigned!
I love it so much! I think it's so me and it's everything I wanted, the amazing Kaelah of The Clueless Girl's Guide designed it for me! Sherry Dubeau designed my logo!

2014 has been great so far! So many good things have happened and I couldn't be happier with the great start it's been.
For the first day of the new year my brother, Jayson and I went to Pacific Mall(basically a huge asian mall that's pretty much the only thing open on all holidays).
After the crazy parking lot fiasco we went inside to a packed mall and had to wait outside of this Japanese restaurant in a crazy line to eat the super delicious Axia food.
They had a new tempura cheesecake which we decided to try and it was actually pretty delicious.
 
I've wanted a pair of disco pants for quite some time, unfortunately I can't afford to spend $150 on them, i'm also pretty sure American Apparel's may not fit but, that's okay because I purchased a pair of disco pants a little while ago from ASOS for under $30(similar here)! I fell in love with them but never really wore them(I never wear pants, just recently started wearing jeans).
I paired my black disco pants with a pretty sweater I got from Forever21 when they were having there 30% off sale, sale(for those of you in the states it's currently going on here) and my cute orange beanie from H&M, this was a super comfy and casual look for me and I think it will be a go to for those cold days.

Toronto is freezing right now, it's currently -20 but -35 with windchill and on cold alert warning. We've had "frost quakes", I heard on the news that the police were investigating into loud booms, pop sounds and shaking that people heard throughout the night.
A ton of my friends on facebook posted about it, according to the news the ice is sinking into the earth and expanding which are creating these crazy quakes.

I'M NOT SORRY

Happy New Year everyone!!!!! Hope you all had a great year and an even better upcoming one!

This was the first year in an exceptionally long time that I decided not to do anything special.
Previous years were filled with young drunken madness at Beeb'z house(tradition since high school) but I guess with age most of us have since let that fade(we are mature young adults nao ^_^).

I actually just had dinner at home with the family and then headed downtown for a teeny bit. Jayson and I ended up trying to head home before midnight but only made it to the station we parked the car at with a minute to spare till countdown. It sounds kinda boring but I thoroughly enjoyed myself, wouldn't have spent new years eve any other way.

Every yearly transition always gets me thinking about the previous year and what accomplishments, goals, and aspirations I had and where I am now.
I feel like I really grew and learned more about myself this year than I have in the last while, I've finally figured out what I want to do and it's set me off towards my future goals.
Overall 2013 was amazing and has got me exactly where I need to be, 2014 will be just as if not equally as amazing and I can't wait for all the upcoming changes/everything in store.

When I saw this sweater at Forever21 I just knew I had to have it, maybe it was because my give no fuck attitude told me I must wear this when i'm just in one of those moods.
Which I totally was, while thinking about this past year.
