The Perfect Layering Piece

I'm a huge fan of ponchos, they're seriously the perfect layering piece! That's why I was beyond stoked when Junarose sent me their Fringle Poncho! I've been literally living in this for the past month, I even brought it with me to Vancouver (where I am right now) and it's saved my life (I'm stupid and didn't pack any sweaters).

 I wore this a couple weeks ago when it was exceptionally chilly but, since I knew I would be inside majority of the day I needed an outfit that would be practical for both indoors and my trek home outside. I paired it with my cute black sheer top, Luna purse, a necklace and some cute destroyed jeans from Charlotte Russe+ and my trusty heeled boots from New Look.

Jumping for Jumpsuits

For the third day of NYFW, my bae Allie finally arrived after a much-delayed flight. We grabbed some delicious shawarma down the street from our apartment before heading out on an ~*~adventure~*~.

I ended up wearing my new Lace and Mesh Jumpsuit from Charlotte Russe Plus and paired it with a floral necklace from H&M, my grid bag from Urban Outfitters, and cut out heels from Aldo. I'm loving this jumpsuit, it's super cute/adorable while also being classy/fancy enough for more formal events. It's funny because I'm not typically much of  a jumpsuit fan but, after trying this one on, I'm definitely going to be giving them more of a chance.
What are your thoughts on jumpsuits? Yay or Nay?

Iridescence

I know I seriously always talk about the weather but, I kid you not, it is all I can think about. The weather's been really iffy lately, one day it's -16 the next day it's 8 degrees. I'm definitely getting sick due to the constant fluctuating. Good news though - it's going to be in the positives (and supposedly stay there) after the weekend!!! After hearing the good news and despite it being an extremely cold day still, I ended up getting decked out in some of my fave iridescent pieces! What can I say? It definitely brightens my mood and gets me amped for ~*real*~ 100% Spring weather.

I picked up this lovely sequin top I missed out on from ASOS from Assa of My Curves and Curls at the last Big Deal Toronto and I'm seriously in love with it. The moment I saw it while running clothes back from the change rooms I knew it had to be mine! I paired it with my new fave jeans from Charlotte Russe Plus (I kid you not I've worn these practically every third day since getting them, they're just sooo comfy and easy to throw on), iridescent clutch from New Look, sandals from Missguided, and my Mama (grandma) vintage pearl necklace.

Wantlist x Charlotte Russe Plus!

As I'm sure most of you have heard Charlotte Russe has launched a Plus line!!! I'm so happy that more and more major retailers are starting to finally include us alongside our straight size counterparts! I haven't made a Wantlist in quite some time but, I'm currently lusting after so many pieces I thought I would share them all with you! I've been an avid shopper of Charlotte Russe since I was a teen (read about it here) but, mainly stuck to their jewelry, shoes, etc. I was overjoyed to find out they were expanding their sizes and launching a plus line! My iridescent/sparkly/mirrored love is still going strong as you can see by my current wants. I created two fun looks as well as all my other current wants. I cannot wait to wear these pieces in the Spring (side note: Toronto is actually warming up! Spring IS coming soon!), I'm already dreaming of those beautiful days! Charlotte Russe is also behind #HeartYourSelfie Day!!! For every Instagram post until March 22nd with "@CharlotteRusse and #HeartYourSelfie" Charlotte Russe will donate $1 to Girls Inc!!! Spring is just around the corner with Charlotte Russe+!

I wandered into Charlotte Russe for the first time when I was about 13, it was my first time visiting the states and I was stoked to go shopping with my aunt. I remember instantly being enamoured by all the jewellery, and I was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was. My aunt and I ended up spending at least a good hour shopping and trying on clothes. Needless to say, my first visit to Charlotte Russe went extremely well. 

Growing up, I found that fewer and fewer items could fit me. Don’t get me wrong, Charlotte Russe has always been a stop on my states shopping trips but typically, I would stick with jewellery, shoes, and accessories. I did manage to pick up a few key pieces (remember a size on a tag does not mean it can’t fit, always try things on!), including my absolute favourite pink peter pan collar shirt which I wore in my first ever public post!

You can bet I was stoked when Tanya from Charlotte Russe got in touch to ask if I’d like to be a part of the Plus launch! I instantly started imagining all the fun clothes they would inevitably have! The best part is, the price point!!!  As you all know, I’m a huuuge deals/sales kinda gal. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely splurge on amazing pieces but, I LOVE my steals!!! Charlotte Russe has always been a steals store for me, I mean c’mon they're currently having a jeans/shorts buy 1 get 1 for $10!

For my first look, I chose the border print chiffon maxi tank top which I definitely could have sized down in but, love nonetheless. I played around with it and figured I also liked it tied to the side. Cannot wait to wear it with shorts in the summer!  I paired it with the refuge skin tight legging jeans, elastic slingback platform sandals, belted architectural backpack and these mirrored aviator sunnies! It was really fun having the tank breeze with the wind and I love all the pieces separate and together! On a side note, it wasn't absolutely freezing today and it gave me high hopes that Spring really is just around the corner!
