I'm finally back from NYFW! It was seriously amazing and I'm already sad that I'm gone. I love NYC and I got to spend a full week this time which was pretty spectacular. I successfully figured out the subway and travelling from point a to b (with some wonderful tips from all my NY friends). I really wish I could move there, I've never fallen so in love with a city before. I mean, I've always loved nyc but after spending a week there exploring, eating delicious meals under $10, making new friends, lil retail therapy here and there and just really adventuring, I truly can say I've fallen in love.
I ended up staying (most of the time at least) at a cute apartment right beside 96th station. The proximity of the subway was definitely what had won me over initially. When I arrived last Thursday I fell in LOVE with the apartment and I really mean in love, it was super adorable and filled completely with cute vintage things. I literally wanted to buy her floral wardrobe, then realized it would be practically impossible to bring home.
I spent my first day in nyc getting settled in, heading to Target to buy a steamer and then getting ready for the Hey Gorgeous event (which I will be sharing sometime soon). I was gifted a few pieces from Junarose, one of my fave Danish companies to bring along on my trip and I ended up wearing this adorable green pleated dress to the Hey Gorgeous event since they also happen to carry Junarose! I was really feeling myself while getting ready since the bedroom has a really beautiful green vibe going on and I myself felt pretty vintagey thus, had to shoot this look in that gorgeous room.

Fall is just around the corner and although I'm sad to say goodbye to Summer, I'm beyond thrilled to start layering, pull out my trusty boots and wear all the cute warm coats. While I was doing a little pre-Fall browsing on ASOS, I stumbled upon this adorable classic borg denim jacket, I instantly had to create a perfect fall look and included a wrap over tee, ripped jeans, cute statement necklace, backpack. Of course these classic 1460 smooth Dr Martens complete the look, and they're available at Union Jack Boots. These are all currently sitting in my cart and I'm hoping to get myself a few new early birthday presents. ;) Anything you're currently lusting over for the Fall?
Stroll through the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens
I came back from Hong Kong well over a month ago and still have yet to post outfit/any photos from my trip. It's hard cause I really, really miss Hong Kong, even with its crazy humidity/unbearable heat, it feels like my second home (and soon technically will be). I finally decided to go through some photos while in NYC since my memory card is running out of space.. whoops.
I shot these closer the end of my trip when I went to the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, which happens to be my strongest/oldest memory from HK when I was 9 (also happens to be right beside our house). Jayson and I decided to go for a nice walk and check out all the animals, this was the first place in the busy city that I didn't feel overwhelmed with the sheer amount of people (granted, it had been raining so no one was really there). I had a super fun time exploring the giant gardens, a monkey literally peed on Jayson, and it was just really peaceful being able to go on a nice long walk without having to push past people.

I was a boat drifting out into sea
A couple weekends ago I had the chance to go up to my favourite place ever, Sibbald Point!! I love going there because a. it's the best campsite ever, b. the water is surprisingly really clean (we always spend majority of our day just swimming) and c. it's just super peaceful and relaxing.
My family went up for our annual Summer trip of bbq and swimmin', it was so much fun!
I wore my new Gummy Bear Swimsuit from Love This Sunday (check out my fries suit here) and literally felt like a cute squishy gummy bear in it. My bb cousins were especially all over this suit, they were totally in love! They were livid when I told them they wouldn't be able to get one. I'm honestly in love with this suit, I think Love This Sunday has the cutest one pieces and I'm so happy they carry xs -3x. I've got my eyes on this adorable jelly bean one piece next!

CNE with Voodoo Vixen
Canadian National Exhibition or CNE is a yearly tradition for me (check out last years post here, and the year before that here). Sadly, I always end up postponing going and end up going on the hottest/busiest weekend aka last weekend before it closes. I'm promising myself that next year I will go closer to the opening date rather than the closing weekend. I didn't end up taking any pictures of the delicious food I ate since, it's the typical CNE staples that I get every year. I wore my new adorable Tilly Dress from Voodoo Vixen. I thought it was perfect for the vibrant CNE, the dress is super airy so I was pretty comfy even through the heatwave. The Canadian National Exhibition is always my Summertime favourite, what did you get up to this Summer? Any Summertime Favourites?
Lost at Sea
When I arrived back from Hong Kong earlier this Summer you have no idea how badly I wanted to spend some time to unwind. I love travelling and I've been so grateful for all the opportunities I've had to travel this year but, I eventually start to miss Toronto and it just feels so great to come back home. I got to go up to my bff/sometimes photographer Christopher's cottage in Wasaga Beach the week after I came back and it was honestly amazing being able to relax and I ended up spending a good portion of time playing in the water.
I wore my cute Marcie Cold Shoulder Swing Dress from Pink Clove and a necklace from Nasty Gal one evening on a bike ride and the beach ended up being completely empty so Chris and I decided to take a sunset dip. I love the water, I've always loved the water, it's odd because I've never given myself the chance to learn to swim, I'm honestly terrified to go under but love being in it still. I just wish I was a mermaid.
