Sorry for the little hiatus! I was so busy with the Holidays and then overwhelmed with work I hadn't had a chance to get anything done for ze blog. Then both my camera and lens broke over the past few weeks and I've been frantically trying to replace them. I finally got some new equipment over the weekend and shot the lovely Wrap Dress from Twelve North!I took notice of Twelve North on Instagram last Fall and fell in love with all of their cool and unique pieces! When Veronica, the founder, and I chatted, we discussed their first self-designed dress. I immediately knew this wrap dress would be a great versatile piece for styling and was stoked to try it out! I could see a lot of potential in it; it's perfect for traveling seeing as it hardly wrinkles, it's extremely light and easy to pack along and it's so versatile! As soon as it arrived I started to play around and get a feel for the shapes/styles it could create, I ended up choosing my top three ways which would be 1. off the shoulders, 2. the regular way and 3. my favorite way - backwards! There are a lot of other ways to wear this gorgeous versatile piece (i.e. kimono, tops, other dress styles) but I decided to stick with these three ways.

I hope this isn't too personal of a question, but I was just wondering - I know you're located in Canada, but you often show many pieces that you ordered from U.S. retailers. How do you deal with the (sometimes extremely) high shipping costs?? For example, I recently tried to put one single item from Fashion to Figure in my cart to check what the shipping costs to Toronto would be, and the lowest quote they gave was a UPS charge of over $75 US!
