Addition Elle Summer'14

The other day I was invited to Brill Communications Summer '14 preview for Addition Elle!
I've gotta say Addition Elle has really stepped their game up, this collection was by far the best I've seen yet.
I was so impressed by the collection that I've been literally anticipating and counting down the days until those pieces are in my closet(no really, you can ask my boyfriend how many times I've told him 'I need them right nowww!!!!' the past few days).

Everything was on point; they had Pantone's colour of the year Radiant Orchird, tons of denim including the most beautiful denim hi-lo acid wash skirt, denim overall shorts and denim paper bag shorts! The William Rast line had this really nice tribal/cheetah print dress with beaded mesh at the top, a mesh/sheer top and tons of pretty summer dresses.
I'm really in love with their new sports line Nola, I've bought all of these(new colours are coming out soon)!
They've got a ton of new active wear coming out including these really cool no sweat shirts.
A few other of my favourites are definitely the elephant harem pants(another must have asap), a gorgeous transformable vest and the cutest pink vintage inspired lingerie!

Along with Addition Elle, Smart Set was previewing their Summer'14 collection. I was able to take a look and they had a ton of beautiful pieces(largest size being a XL/16), I am going to try on the grid print pants once I find them in store. I was really intrigued by this necklace on display and kept finding myself lured back to look at it some more. Best part was it's already been released and I was lucky enough to get one, Thanks Smart Set!

A few weekends ago I went to Chris' house and lost my favourite ever sunnies somewhere in his house, I tried searching for them but they have still yet to be found. :'(
Despite that I've spent quite a bit of my time shopping... in one of my most recent purchases was this beautiful love & legend skull elbow top from Addition Elle which I got for free using my $50 fashion dollars(I bought the Nola sport cropped top in both colours, they are seriously the best).
Another one of my most recent purchases would be this skirt i'm wearing from Forever21+(purchase here and here) in blue since I really loved the red one and since it was only $6.99 using the extra 30% off sale, get it now!

Overall my whole outfit was actually really comfy and soft. I paired my outfit with my favourite DOLL beanie and I wore my test tube necklace that Jayson bought me when we first started dating, I love it so much I think it's just so cute and teeny. I feel like I hardly wear it enough thus, gonna make more of an effort to wear jewelry, especially nice ones Jayson got me. ^___^

Surprise! ELOQUII has returned!

Remember ELOQUII? They closed last year, but they're back and better than ever!
I am so incredibly stoked!!!

For those of you who have not heard of ELOQUII before they were a plus size line launched by The Limited in 2011, and then closed in early 2013 as a result of corporate restructuring.
They definitely did not expect what happened next, tons of bloggers and loyal customers took to digital and social media to express their loss of a favourite fashion resource and demanded ELOQUII's return!
Encouraged by the loyalty of the consumer base, the original team connected with Founding Investor John Auerbach to explain the vision of rebuilding ELOQUII. The plan was to relaunch as an independently owned brand with members of the original team, each of whom had left The Limited in order to join the new ELOQUII and successfully reach this underserved consumer segment: women age 20-40, size 14-24.

 “Our goal for ELOQUII is to be the leader in fashion, sizes 14-24,” states Mariah Chase. “We’ve listened to what customers thought about the brand prior to closing, and took this knowledge to build an improved experience that delivers an on-trend and price-conscious brand for a consumer who quite frankly hasn’t had the fashion options she should.”
“We want consumers to see ELOQUII as their go-to destination for style inspiration,” explains Jodi Arnold. 
“Most designer, contemporary, and fast-fashion brands do not offer our size range, and what IS offered is missing the mark in our opinion. Our girl knows all the emerging trends, she just wants them to be executed tastefully, in her size and more importantly, readily available.” 

New product with limited availability will debut every two to three weeks.  ELOQUII will offer on-trend product including tops and sweaters, dresses and skirts, pants and denim, jackets, outerwear and accessories, with prices ranging from $18 - $198. The early Spring 2014 collection will kick off the brand’s debut offering, available exclusively at ELOQUII.

 I am so excited for everything they have going forward! I picked out all my current faves since the relaunch this morning and everything must get into my closet ASAP! Be sure to check out the new collection and lookbook. 

It's so exciting having a new~*~ plus size, on trend, good quality and affordable(price points of $18 - $198) store to shop at!

My Very Late Valentine's Day Post!

This past weekend was impeccably busy(which is funny seeing as I had been looking forward to my long and relaxing weekend); Valentine's Day, hanging out with friends, going shopping and celebrating Family Day, I had barely any time for sleep(I slept for a maximum of 4 hours every night). It's even funnier cause every night I would continuously pester myself to upload my photos from my camera and get started on my now 5 days late Valentine's Day post but instead decided to mindlessly peruse my favourite online stores, finish up the rest of Orange is the New Black, and play my newest addiction Hello Kitty Cafe!!!!!! Honestly i'd like to say I regret giving up my sleep for all of that but...... I totally don't, also I fully unlocked all the characters of Hello Kitty Cafe!!

Anyways, I actually have never really wrote about Jayson which is funny cause he's simply my life.
We celebrated our third Valentine's Day together on Friday and it was really fun and kinda unexpected haha. I had work and afterwards I met Jayson at the station to be surprised that he bought a matching outfit to my dress and cute flowers, we headed off downtown to Jack Astors(one of our fave restaurants) at the Yonge and Dundas location, where we had made reservations, we got there 10 minutes to and were told that we'd either have to wait half an hour for a table inside(which is really really ridiculous) or... have dinner outside on the patio, which normally would not have been an issue at all had it not been freezing cold and windy outside.

I won't lie, I was actually really peeved about a ton of things that day prior to going so I half kinda didn't even want to go to dinner anymore, and was sorta relieved that I hopefully wouldn't have to go... not the case cause Jayson really wanted Jacks.. so we sat on the patio outside in the cold which at first was not as bad as I had expected they had those outdoor heater lamps which were pretty warm, till about ten minutes later when it was legit freezing and we had to wear our coats.
Luckily dinner came extremely fast, but we couldn't end up finishing our food before it was cold and I was just a little too frustrated and wanted to leave. In total that dinner took 20 minutes!! Quickest dinner ever and definitely my highlight from that haha.

Afterwards, we headed down to my twins place! We hungout with her and Chris and Caro there for a bit before deciding to head home and spend time with our puppies, I also got the Sweetie Pie Lush Box as a prezzie because Jayson knows how much i've been totally in love with their bath bombs and now everything else they carry(i'm really becoming obsessed, haaalp).
It was so much fun and I actually had a really fantastic Valentine's and i'm so happy I got to spend it with my best friends and the love of my life!

Your Big Sister's Closet 1 Year Anniversary!

This past Saturday Your Big Sister's Closet owned by Karen Ward of Curvy Canadian and hubby Peter had their 1 Year Anniversary! For their Anniversary they had a really awesome body positive window display which I was extremely happy to be a part of!
For a better understanding please read Karen's artist statement below; 

“This Art Installation, named ‘There Is No Right Way To Have A Body,’ addresses society’s obsession with size and weight, and focuses on the models’ refusal to be body shamed. By drawing on the aesthetics of protest, the project contextualizes the problem as the human rights issue it is”

I think it was seriously amazing and just the whole experience was incredible. 

I cannot express enough how important it is to love yourself, I believe that all bodies are good bodies and it was an extremely beautiful display.

I was super excited and awoke to eagerly get ready in the morning. I had decided on wearing my 'I'm Not Sorry" sweater since it felt so fitting, along with my leather skirt and New Look boots and gold chain. When I arrived I was greeted by the lovely store filled with body positive signs, adorable decorations and gorgeous clothes!

 I immediately had to browse because I love shopping and hadn't had too much of a chance to browse last time I had visited. I fell in love with a ton of things one of them being this beautiful dress in burgundy. As soon as I tried it on I knew it had to be mine especially seeing as Valentines Day(perfect occasion) was coming up! Karen convinced me to wear it in the window and I just felt so beautiful in it, i'm so in love with it! I also had to buy this super cute polka dot pink bag! It was just screaming at me and I couldn't walk away without it, I plan on using it quite a bit in the Spring!

I hung out with Erica the whole time, we took a ton of selfies and browsed around a million times, she's seriously so awesome it was so much fun! She was looking for a new statement necklace so we tried on a ton of necklaces, all of them were gorgeous but she chose the prettiest black and neon necklace and I had to get the super pretty mint and lilac floral necklace that she luckily didn't get. I'm sooooo in love with it, I cannot express how badly I want Spring to come so that I can wear it literally everyday!!!! I will be visiting Your Big Sister's Closet again very very soon, I legit loved everything and it was such a great experience for me since I do almost 95% of my shopping online, it was awesome to actually try things on! 

Overall, I am so thankful to have been a part of Karen's amazing body positive art installation, and I am so proud and happy of everyone who took part! Your Big Sister's Closet is amazing you should definitely visit if you live in Toronto, or check them out online(free shipping worldwide) otherwise!
