Ashley Graham at Addition Elle

This past Friday I got to meet the stunning mega babe Ashley Graham at Addition Elle for the launch of her Spring 2015 collection. I was super stoked to meet her, she was seriously so nice and it was so awesome to finally get to meet her and have the chance to chat with her.

I was also able to catch up with a ton of blogger babes and do a little bit of shopping. I was still in pre-Valentines Day mode and was wearing another one of my shades of pink ensembles. Which happened to be my pink blazer, furry clutch and black boots from New Look, pink rosette skirt from River Island, conversation hearts tee from Jac Vanek and a necklace from Topshop. I fell in love with this gorgeous black bodysuit from the collection but sadly they ran out of my size. :( I am now determined to go on a hunt to all the AE's in Scarbz to find it.

I had such a great evening seeing friends, shopping, and meeting Ashley, of course!

**original text of this post sadly got deleted somehow:'(** I've been re-watching American Horror Story over the holidays and started watching Coven again and was instantly inspired to create a witchy outfit. I decided on wearing my new velvet Junarose skirt from Your Big Sister's Closet.  I asked my friend Christopher to take some photos of me a couple weeks ago when we had light snow and it wasn't freezing yet. That's SO... 2014!

Woo first post for 2015!!! I hope you all had an impeccable New Years Eve! My original plans fell through but, I managed to make the best of it!

2014 was a year of ~*change and learning*~ for me. Although it was stressful, exciting and definitely challenging - I wouldn't change a thing.  Now it's a New Year and I know that most people set their year up with high expectations and resolutions, but I like to just challenge myself with some yearly goals.  A few goals this year is that I want to work on my blog more, I let my blog slip in the ending half of 2014 and now to make up for it I intend to have post up consistently so that I don't end up with a ton piling up.  I also intend to stop being a mess, and I mean this literally. I've been ~*so busy*~ that I let my space become chaotic, everything's a mess and it's hard for me to find things most of the time. Jayson and I let this mess spiral so badly out of control we've spent the past 3 weeks attempting to get this shit together... I'm so proud with how clean we have gotten it thus far but, everyday I will spend time working on a section at a time, in hopes that the space will be clean soon and my goal this year is too keep it maintained. Those are probably not the most exciting "resolutions" for 2015, but they mean a lot to me. I'm feeling optimistic about this year and I can't wait to see what's in store!

Clarks x Orla Kiely SS15 at Gravity Pope

Sooo I may have missed a post yesterday but, it's okay cause I was seriously so busy; i.e. woke up at 6 am to get my early morning shop on downtown with Jayson, worksies and then late dinner all the way back downtown. Today's post is from when I went the the Clarks x Orla Kiely SS15 preview at Gravity Pope! I got to see the gorgeous FW14 shoes and I fell in loveee with the burgundy pony hair Daphne boot!!! I've never been into Gravity Pope before and it's so pretty, I adored all of the old mirrors!

Carmakoma Radley Dress

As you may know, I'm in loveeee with Danish brand Carmakoma!!! I cannot get enough of their super stylish and incredibly well structured pieces! After checking out their SS15 collection - which I've been dying to get my hands on, I can't seem to get enough. Their are so many pieces I want in my closet asap!

Carmakoma was kind enough to send me a few things and I'm seriously in love with everything!
I'm wearing their Radley dress and it's super adorable!!! I normally don't wear animal prints, but this one was just too cute! I also love the mesh top and leather straps, I love the little details on everything they make.

I already had a photo idea in my mind as soon as this dress arrived. I took Jayson with me to my favorite place ever and felt so calm relaxing by the water. I'm pretty happy that Fall this year has been ridiculously mild thus far. Fingers crossed it will continue so that I won't have to bust out my fall coat anytime soon.

SexyPlus Clothing Fall Preview

Earlier this month I was invited to the SexyPlus Clothing Fall Preview Blogger Event by wonderful owner Stefanie Augusteijn! She had a perfect little get together in her Mississauga store. It was so nice seeing all my fellow Toronto blogger babes and a perfect opportunity to get to know all the bloggers I hadn’t had a chance to meet yet! 

I love Stefanie’s outlook on the body positive community – we should all work together! I agree with this attitude 100%, a strong community supports and loves one another.

I hadn’t had a chance to make it out to the store before but, I’m so glad I finally did!!! I was surrounded by lovely Joseph Ribkoff dresses, Tierra Sedgemore Size Sexy tees and a ton of other gorgeous pieces! I fell in love with quite a few dresses and I can’t wait to return with my mum (who had to call Stefanie the day after the event to find some Joseph Ribkoff dresses). 

Stefanie put a lot of work into getting this event together, I was so impressed with all the details and little touches: the adorable pink patio set outside, all the beautiful body positive artwork (be sure to check out the bathroom), the awesome change room including a robe and heels for trying things on and best of all the coolest cake ever - a blogger cake with all the social media logos on it by the incredible Cakestar!!! All the jewelry was made by talented Maryanne of My Beaded Designs!

Your Big Sister's Closet

While Karen and Peter are having a blast at FFFWeek, they needed someone to keep Your Big Sister's Closet open. Luckily Alex has been working there for some time now and can easily manage the store on her own buuut, they we're kind enough to ask me to work with her tomorrow, this Saturday the 21st!

It's funny because I have always had an on again/off again relationship with retail. I personally actually really enjoy working around things I love (i.e. Clothes), making customers happy with their purchases, and of course choosing outfits for them to try on! The only downside I would have would be sales per hour, and the fact that in more fast fashion stores people totally disregard everything and throw literally everything on the floor and walk away. Luckily, Your Big Sister's Closet doesn't have these problem whatsoever! In fact, their motto is pretty much if you don't love it, don't buy it. Which I love, since I definitely feel pressured in some other stores to purchase things, and I end up never coming back since the experience made me feel so uncomfortable.

I ended up pretty much shadowing Alex the whole day while I tried everything on and picking up on how to do some things(I got to steam all the new arrivals! Is it weird that I actually enjoyed steaming clothes? haha). I also got to chat with a ton of customers and it just felt great being able to help find outfits/pieces for particular things!

I have nothing but love for Your Big Sis!! You should definitely check them out!
