A Week in Modamix| Monday

I was beyond thrilled when Modamix sent me a box filled with pieces from their Resort Collection! I was even more thrilled when I found out a week later I would be heading to Hong Kong (perfect place to shoot these looks)! It felt pretty liberating not having to worry too much about what I would pack since I already had so many pieces ready to go! Over the past week, I was decked out in Modamix pieces and I can't wait to share all these looks with you all!

Last Monday I wore the stunning yet simple Aria Shirt Dress, paired with my cute lil Marc Jacobs necklace that Erica got me for Christmas and my fave heels. I did not wear the heels out since I had to walk a lot (sidenote: in Hong Kong you get so much walking done that pretty much everyone is always wearing running shoes). The dress was perfect for a nice day of exploring in Kowloon!

Barbie Expo

A couple of weeks ago right before I left for Hong Kong I made an impromptu trip with my bffz to Montreal for the launch of the Barbie Expo at Les Cours Mont-Royal!! Most of you wouldn't know but I'm an avid doll/toy collector so, as soon as I saw that the Barbie Expo was less than 5 hours away, I made it a priority to be there to check it out! The 5000 square feet Expo features over 1000 unique one of a kind dolls on display. Dressed in renowned designers; Christian Dior, Versace, Givenchy, Giorgio Armani, Vera Wang, Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen and Christian Louboutin among others. Jess and I were beyond excited to check out all the Barbies and made sure we thoroughly got to see every single one. We loved it and definitely recommend you stop by and check it out if you get a chance!

Caped Out

This look was actually supposed to be a part of Allie and I's twinsie series with Yours Clothing but sadly, we've both been so busy since before the holidays we hadn't had a chance to get together to shoot it. I also knew by the time I came back from Hong Kong the weather would be shifting into Spring, therefore deeming my adorable cape unnecessary. I'm in love with this cape, I ended up buying an almost identical one in white seeing as how I loved it so much, it's just so easy to throw over practically everything. Underneath my cape, I'm wearing their High Neck Swing Dress with Lace Sleeves, a necklace from Urban Outfitters and my fave booties from New Look.

Life| what's been 'good' (but actually bad)

The start of 2016 has been pretty difficult for me, I've undergone quite a few huge changes since my last post (which was a month ago... whoops, I'd say sorry but, I'm not even sorry).  For starters, my left index finger got sliced up pretty badly a few weeks ago and it has left me literally scarred and in pain. I had to get 11 stitches with 2 in the tendon, I find it ironic actually because the day before this happened I had just been talking about how I had never gotten any stitches. I was also hella afraid I'd never be able to bend my finger again (did you know that that can happen?!). Thankfully, with my wound healing pretty well and being able to stretch my finger almost all the way back, I'm starting to finally get myself out of this weird mental state I had been in.
I'm also back in Hong Kong for the next couple of weeks so that's definitely helping me cope with all the other anxieties in my life... lol jk not really.

I was planning on doing an outfit post but I feel like also sharing some pics (mostly selfies) to get ya'll sorta caught up from the past couple weeks!
